Review: Thai Son (Chinatown – NYC)

One of my fave parts of traveling is trying new eateries. I was on a multi-state business trip last week and have a few places that stand out in mind, the first was this little gem a friend of one of my colleagues suggested to us saying “This is where I would go for my last meal on earth”… well, alright then.

89 Baxter St, New York, NY 10013

We were slightly confused arriving as the name suggests Thai food, but it is fact a Vietnamese restaurant. The menu is quite large with a lot of delicious sounding options, but the standout was the pho.

We ordered a couple starters (summer rolls, spring rolls) which were delicious. Then entrees of Caramel Salmon (amazing!), something I’ve been calling the Obama combination (which is probably not the actual name), and then the delightful Pork Chop Pho shown above.

I would definitely come here again and in fact plan to very soon as there were so many amazing looking things coming out of the kitchen.
